THE LOW END
MUSIC VIDEO, 2013
Music video for one of the tracks included in my first LP.
The sound of this piece is a sort of muddy, bassy distortion cluster.
So, to emphatize this muddyness, I prepared some non-newtonian fluid and dropped it on a speaker blasting the song.
This mud is called this way because it becomes almost solid when you apply some force against it (eg.: shaking it or punching it).
That was interesting because, put on a speaker, there were like little monsters morphing and jumping out of the cone.
It was all shot with a DSLR camera with 18-55mm reverse-mounted lens. With the lens mounted in reverse (thanks to a proper ring adapter) you get a super-macro lens from
a normal wide angle one.
In fact, the speaker here is a very small one (2")! You may not get it unless you've noticed the shot with the needle.
